Covington Computer Club
Covington Computer Club was formed in 2000 and aimed to give residents a forum for discussing technical issues to do with all kinds of technology, not just computers. It also acted as a focus for computing and internet activities in the village, including the provision of adequate broadband. Members of the Computer Club have been instrumental in lobbying for fibre broadband.
There is a village mailing list which is used to distribute notices and messages (e.g. regarding bulk oil buying and spare plants for sale). This website is also operated under the auspices of the Computer Club. Regular meetings of the club are no longer held.
